Unbelievable. Exactly two years ago, SurveyUSA completed interviews with 600 voters in every state (30,000 total interviews), asking them how they would vote in a 2008 Presidential Election between John McCain and Barack Obama.
Based on those interviews, SurveyUSA was able to report that:
In November 2006, Obama carried …
His home state of Illinois.
His birth state of …

Don’t freak out just yet.
So a third-rate CBS affiliate in San Francisco commissions SurveyUSA to conduct a poll, and the poll shows “yes” leading “no” to Prop 8 by 5 points. (10 percent of voters are still undecided.) The key take-away from the CBS-5 poll was, apparently, the fact that young voters jumped …

Bad news for gay marriage in the Golden State.
Surevy USA released a troubling poll late Monday night (paid for by CBS 5) showing California evenly split on Proposition 8, which would outlaw same-sex marriage. Previous surveys showed Californians against the measure, but this survey, conducted over the weekend, shows 47% are for the measure while …

As the campaign enters its home stretch, we asked our panel of queer political junkies to put on their pundit hats and tell us how it’ll all turn out come Nov. 4th. Here’s their analysis:

I called it. Obama is up, though within the margin of error, in Gallup’s latest poll. As to Joe’s claim that all these people saying that they will vote for Obama are lying because they’re no-good-dirty-racists, that’s what folks said during the primary, too. Fact is, more people have voted for Barack Obama than any …

Phelps for VP
Polling data for me has become an obsession. Regarding the Olympics, I honestly don’t have an insight into the geopolitical significance as all I seem to be interested in is how sweet the swimmers look and how the gymnasts make me feel funny in the pants–especially the Asians. But I digress. No, what has had my …

I was just talking about the “cultural moment”, we’re in. More on that from a new poll:
75% of Americans now think gays and lesbians should be able to serve openly in the military, according to a Washington Post poll released Saturday. In that same poll, only 31% considered “social issues such as gay marriage …

Forget the NYT/CNN/MSNBC/Onion/OUT magazine, etc, poll. The real indicator of who’s going to be our next President is based on the one thing all patriotic citizens love to do: eat. More to the point, our love for a fine BBQ after we’ve greased up our guns. And at this point, 52 percent to 45 percent …

Further evidence that this election isn’t going to be about Florida, Ohio or Pennsylvania: Alaska polls 45-41 McCain, Virginia’s a statistical tie with a slight edge for Obama, North Carolina is 45-43 to McCain and in the last month cut McCain’s lead in half in both Kansas and Arkansas.
