UPDATE: Mr. Grant wants me to chime in on the project. I’m hesitant to write about Milk, to be honest, because 1) I haven’t seen it and 2) I think that Sean Penn in an idiot (remember his “fact finding” trip to Iraq?), so I’m inclined to hate it. But I have to hand it to Focus Features for spending $15 million on a serious movie, starring real talent and targeting LGBT viewers. I haven’t seen that since, what, Brokeback Mountain?
